If your feed has begun blasting you with these dressed up videos, I want to remind you all of something. This ain’t wellness. This is eating disorders with a filter and a trending sound.
‘SkinnyTok’ is the latest new trend, influencers shaming healthy eating habits and setting hard boundaries, they’re calling it “clean eating” or “discipline” while they portion out a stick of celery for the day. And the algorithm loves it. It's dangerous, it's triggering, and it's making people sick.
As someone recovering from years of body abuse — I can’t scroll past this crap quietly. It’s not harmless. It’s not empowering. It’s the same old self-hatred dressed up as aesthetics.
Let’s be clear: SAUCEswim will never support this. We don’t make swimwear for disappearing bodies. We make it for the kind that exist in the real world — the kind that bloat, change, grow, bleed, stretch, carry life and fucking live.
What’s showing up on your feed isn’t health. It’s control. It’s fear. It’s a desperate attempt to be palatable in a system that profits off your pain. And I’m done being polite about it.
If you’ve been caught in the spiral — I see you. But you’re not the problem. The culture is. And it’s not welcome here.
Eat. Breathe. Take up space. Be so alive in your body it makes the algorithm glitch.
Rant done.
